For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23)

Let’s talk business. Do you know how the cost of what we buy is determined? A company or manufacturer assesses how much is needed for production based on the wants of the consumer. The cost is set based on simple concepts of supply and demand. If demand is high and supply is low, the cost is higher. Welcome to Kim’s Economics 101.

The buyer has a decision to make as well. The buyer does a “cost/benefit analysis” and decides if the cost of the item is going to match the benefit and meets his/her needs. Simply, is it worth it?

When introduced to the Gospel of Christ, we do our own sort of cost/benefit analysis. We decide the cost (an eternity in hell) is much too great to pay. Weighed with the benefits (forgiveness of sins and an eternity with Jesus in heaven), we accept the fact we are sinners and we need salvation through Jesus Christ. 14882051136_1d89c5aacf_z a CrossWelcome to Salvation 101.

God looked down at the sinful state of humanity. God supplied ONE sacrifice for the payment towards our sin problem. God, the Father,  allowed His One and only Son to be sacrificed for our sins. The need matched the benefit.

At the point of salvation, our sin debt is paid in full by the precious blood of Jesus. We now have a trademark, a brand. The brand identifies us, seals us, as children of Christ. We are now “off the market”. The largest acquisition in World History!

If we could have saved ourselves from our sin do you not think God would have spared His Son? Jesus shed His blood and died on a cross over 2000 years ago to pay a debt we could NEVER satisfy on our own. Accept Jesus as your Savior today if you have not already. What are you waiting for? Claim the victory! The old account was settled long ago.
